These verses are the springboard behind my desire to share my story. I have struggled most of my adult life with OCD, or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and the often-accompanying depression. OCD, which affects millions of people in varying degrees, is an often-misunderstood condition that can leave the sufferer feeling very hopeless and demoralized. Perhaps the worst part is the feeling that one is all alone.

We all have "junk" in our lives that causes us pain and bewilderment, but if we place our lives--"junk" and all--into the hands of the One who created us and loves us, He is indeed able to cause eternal good to come from it all. He can put all the broken pieces of our lives together into a unique and beautiful masterpiece, if we will just let him. Out of my struggles were born many songs that I have written and a deepening faith and dependence upon God. It is my prayer that, by telling my story and sharing my songs and writings "from my heart to your heart," you also will be comforted and that you will find the strength and purpose to persevere another day.
